SOLAS is looking for individuals and organizations to be Kennel Sponsors for one year.  The cost is $500 per kennel and is tax deductible.  SOLAS is a 501 ©3 Not for Profit organization.  The money would be used to improve the health and well being of the animals at the Council Bluffs Animal Shelter.  This includes, but is not limited to, the cost of veterinary care, medications, vaccines, specialty foods, and new cages.

The plaque is made of stainless steel and royal blue metallic, measuring 5X7” for the dog plaque and 3X5” for the cat plaque.  It will have your name engraved in white lettering.  The plaque would be attached to the door of the kennel where it would remain for one year.

If the sponsorship is renewed, an additional plaque would be added that lists each year you have sponsored the kennel.  You can indicate sponsorship of either a dog or cat kennel – or any combination thereof when multiple Sponsorships are made.

The benefits to you, besides the humanitarian aspect are:

bulletClose to 15,000 people pass through the Council Bluffs Animal Shelter every year, each would see your name.  Thanks to our website, the people coming to the Shelter are not just from the surrounding communities, but have include folds from Sioux City, Kansas City and Madison WI.
bulletYour name would also appear on this website under Sponsorship’s, which can be viewed 24 hours a day.
bulletYou name would appear in Mary Jones’s weekly Dogs, Cats & Etc column in the Council Bluffs Nonpareil newspaper when the donation is made.
bulletYour name would also be included in our brochure that goes out with all Thank you letters and Spay/Neuter coupon reimbursements – approx. 700 a year.
bulletThere are also the special event handouts, which include: Photo’s with Santa Paws, Autumn in the Bluffs, and Petco off sites adoptions.  These events reach approximately 500 additional people.  Autumn in the Bluffs is an annual event put on by the City of Council Bluffs.  As this event continues to expand so too will the number of brochures distributed at this event.
